I installed the shifter in to the transmission hump. At first I mounted it on a small box on top of the hump but did not like the way it looked. I reworked it to what you see now and think it looks a 100 times better. One of the first wheels I ever owned was a Thrustmaster T1 the shifter for it was never used because it was small and I did not think it felt natural and I just could not get into useing it. With the Act Labs shifter mounted on the transmission hump it feels so natural its just like shifting in a real car. The action of the shifter is Great. I will use it all the time. This is one Great investment that I can't live with out and has turned out to be one of the Coolest gameing gear products I have ever bought.
